If it's unpatriotic and supposedly treasonous for conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh to want Barack Obama's policies to fail in the middle of a serious recession, is it similarly so for Democrats who wished President Bush wouldn't succeed while the nation was at war?-- Noel SheppardI want Barack Obama to Fail. Since I wrote that in November of 2008 a famous radio personality has pick up the sentiment and Liberals have gone sanctimoniously apoplectic in their affront at the thought.
Why even one such person of the Liberal persuasion who knows my political views walked up to me and said, “Hey, we’re all in this together we all have to hope that President Obama succeeds, right?” He obviously concerned by the poor political start of his favorite Socialist-Marxist of choice.
As Bugs of Bunny said to Elmer Fudd, “He don’t know me very well do he?”
Boy did I lay into that Alzheimer’s suffering hypocrite. I began to recant Murtha, Reid, Clinton, Kerry, Dean, Gore and Obama who all at the height of the Iraq war and for eight solid years of the Bush presidency made it known in no uncertain terms that they wanted President Bush to fail, they wanted the Iraq war to fail and by extension they wanted America to fail. (see story)
Oh, but he couldn’t or didn’t remember Democrats ever wanting (or saying that they wanted) President Bush to fail.
Lucky that anonymous person who said that a picture is worth a thousand words (or actions for that matter) must have had the August 2006, Fox News/Opinion Dynamics poll in mind. This poll is solid evidence that Democrats of every and all persuasions wanted President Bush to fail. (see poll)
10. Regardless of how you voted in the presidential election, would you say you want President Bush to succeed or not?
SCALE: 1. Yes, want him to succeed 2. No, do not want him to succeed 3. (Don’t know)
Yes | No | (Don’t Know) | |
8-9 Aug 06 | 63% | 32 | 5 |
Democrats | 40% | 51 | 9 |
Republicans | 90% | 7 | 7 |
Independents | 63% | 34 | 3 |
Does be careful what you ask for apply here? It certainly does! There is a god-awful lot of Democrats responsible for the mess that we are in as a country, heck you asked for it by wishing for President Bush’s failure.
Yes, that says 51 percent of Democrats and 34 percent of Independents didn't want President Bush to succeed...even though our nation was at war in Iraq and Afghanistan.-- Noel Sheppard51% of you Democrats wanted President Bush to fail you, according to your 2006 polling, wanted it bad and your politicos on Capitol Hill worked tirelessly to that end ensuring that everything that a sitting president did was perceived by the America people and the people of the world as failed policy.
So how dare any of you hypocritical anti-Bush psychotics pitch a fit. It was you who created this climate in which the Party out of power works to make the President of the Party in power fail.
I disagree fervently with the people on our side of the aisle who have caved and who say, "Well, I hope he succeeds. We've got to give him [President Obama] a chance." Why? They didn't give Bush a chance in 2000. Before he was inaugurated the search-and-destroy mission had begun. –Rush Limbaugh (see previous post)Conservatives believe that Liberals are taking this country in the wrong direction and just like Liberals we are going to fight tooth and nail to prevent that from happening.
While it’s true that we don’t have the same Jack booted allegiance that the Democrats used to win in 2006 and 2008. No, we have Susan Collins, Olympia Snowe, Arlen Specter, John McCain, Lindsey Graham and Mel Martinez all Mavericks in their own right. What we do have is an up and coming grassroots movement that will vote out all of these enablers of Democrats.
We want everyone who is even remotely connected with the Democrat agenda to fail after all that’s what Democrats wished on America and where we are right now is a result of Democrats wishing the worst for America when they wished for the failure of George W. Bush.
