Obama in violation of FEC laws again?

One would think that a former Constitutional senior lecturer of the University of Chicago law school, president Barry Hussein Soetoro, would know better than to violate Federal Election Commission laws in his reelection bid.

Yet here he is using the White house to promote a campaign event that is sponsored by his reelection committee, Obama for America 2012. (see 30sec. video)

As we can clearly see from the different landmarks in the room, the lamp for example, the room that the president is campaigning in is the same room in the White house that he gives his Weekly Addresses. (see pictures following)

Weekly Address from the White house (picture)

Campaign Fundraiser (picture)

In a very recent complaint filed before the F.E.C. the Ohio Democrat Party alleged that Josh Mandel and elected public official used resources of his state campaign and the resources of his state office to support his run for the U.S. Senate.

Complainant files this complaint under 2 U.S. C. §437g (a)(1) against Josh Mandel, Citizens for Josh Mandel, and Steven R. Cuckler, treasurer (“Respondents”). For apparent violations of the Federal Election Campaign Act (“FECA” or the “Act”). Several months ago, Mandel ran and was elected State Treasurer of Ohio. It now seems, however, that Mandel is using the resources of his state campaign and the resources of his state office to support a new run for the U.S. Senate. Federal law clearly prohibits this kind of conversion of state campaign and official resources, and the Federal Election Commission (“FEC”) should immediately open an investigation to determine the full scope of Mandel’s questionable practices. (source)

The president seems to have engaged in the very same violation that Josh Mandel is accused of by using the White house for his 2012 reelection bid.

However, this is not the first time that president Barry Hussein Soetoro has violated election law. In the 2010 midterm, Elections President Soetoro and Senator Patty Murray broke Washington state election laws by campaigning on the state funded University of Washington college campus.

Patty Murray's 2010 Midterm Elections campaign received scrutiny for violations of state and federal law, after a WorkSource employee used government resources to organize support for Murray’s campaign. Senator Patty Murray’s re-election campaign met with the state worker with the purpose of asking for campaign work to be done using state resources.[10] Using taxpayer money, WorkSource employee Sally Garcia asked veterans to contact Kerala Hise, either by telephone or at a pattymurray.com address, to get involved in a ”walk and knock" to remind people to vote for Murray’s re-election.[11]
President Obama and Patty Murray broke Washington state laws by campaigning on the state funded University of Washington college campus.[12] According to RCW 42.17.130, Use of public office or agency facilities in campaigns — Prohibition — Exceptions, "No elective official nor any employee of his [or her] office nor any person appointed to or employed by any public office or agency may use or authorize the use of any of the facilities of a public office or agency, directly or indirectly, for the purpose of assisting a campaign for election of any person to any office or for the promotion of or opposition to any ballot proposition." According to RCW 42.52.180, Use of public resources for political campaigns, "No state officer or state employee may use or authorize the use of facilities of an agency, directly or indirectly, for the purpose of assisting a campaign for election of a person to an office or for the promotion of or opposition to a ballot proposition. Knowing acquiescence by a person with authority to direct, control, or influence the actions of the state officer or state employee using public resources in violation of this section constitutes a violation of this section." (see source)

As the president and the vice president would say, this is a really “big deal.” This president is presently conducting two illegal wars, Libya and Yemen without fulfilling the constitutional requirement to get Congressional authority, something that George W. Bush did prior to engaging in Iraq and Afghanistan.

With this apparent violation of the F.E.C., the president seems to be signaling that he doesn’t intend to play by the rules anytime soon.

All things considered, there is emerging a continued pattern of lawlessness from this White house. If the video is proven authentic and if the president is found to be violation of F.E.C. regulations he should be made to suffer the penalties and fines afforded for such violators.

If the president isn’t made to obey the law in this matter, I’m afraid sometime in the near future we will see once again the New Black Panthers and ACORN helping in the reelection effort of President Soetoro.

Who’s going to stop that, AG Eric Holder?

With Republicans like Snowe who needs Democrats?

Maine's Own Sen. Olympia Snowe

"I'm optimistic that maybe the Democrats won't go forward with the bill as it is. Over the next few days, hopefully, something will change to make that possible. I don't see why it would be impossible because frankly I think that there isn't that much of a gap."—Sen. Olympia Snowe, discussing Democrat Financial Reform Legislation
She is solely responsible for the Health Care Reform Law. Without her vote the bill doesn’t get out of the senate finance committee and we wouldn’t be facing this Liberal Democrat Europeanization of America via Health Care law.

Now Democrats want to permanently bailout the financial institutions which incidentally they demonized as the bad guys responsible for the global financial meltdown (but were only to big to fail), and now who is it that Democrats look to so that they can proceed with the one Republican vote need to put their plans into action? Why the Senator from Maine Olympia Snowe that’s who.(see story)(and here)

By gosh with Republicans like Sen. Snowe who needs Democrats?

While eyes are fixed on some of the most vocal Republican opponents of Sen. Chris Dodd's financial overhaul bill to see if the measure will be opened up to debate today, Maine Sen. Olympia Snowe's voice could be the most important.
Snowe, a moderate who has crossed party lines before, is being heavily courted by the Democrats to provide the precious 60th vote needed to start debate.

There’s nothing wrong with just talking about it right? That’s what Snowe said about health care. And just look what the Uber-Liberal Republican Senator from Maine has wrought on America. It was her vote and her vote alone that moved the health care bill out of committee and into your homes. Thank you Sen. Snowe. And thank you Maine. (see article)

Once again, the Democratic majority is courting Maine’s two senators for help in passing a pending bill, this one to overhaul and tighten regulation of the financial system.
Sens. Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins stand nearly alone in the poisonous atmosphere of a polarized Senate in which bipartisanship has almost vanished. They more than most of their Republican colleagues have sometimes broken ranks and voted with the Democrats. –Bangor Daily News

Now the Democrats wish to stick it to America again who is the “Republican” that Democrats seek most? Sen. Snowe of course. If a key Democrat would “break ranks” at crucial times like Pelosi or Reid would have their necks. Liberals call Republicans that vote against Party interest independent thinking but Democrats that do the same are traitors unless of course they’ve gotten permission in some backroom deal to vote contrary to the Party line.

In this highly partisan atmosphere where it is crucial that each political camp stand up for its core values why is it that an Olympia Snowe or a Susan Collins or a Lindsey Graham or a John McCain can be persuaded to vote against America’s interest by voting for Liberal policies instituted by Democrats?

Oh these fake Republicans will rationalizes it by saying that they’re just being bi-partisan or they’re just voting for the right thing when in fact what they’re doing is not only betraying a Party but they are betraying a nation.
With Republicans like Snowe, Collins, Graham and McCain or any RINOs for that matter who need’s Democrats!

UPDATE
Although the bill did not pass to the full Senate on a 57 to 41 vote blocking it yesterday . According to Washington post staff writers, Brady Dennis and Shailagh Murray, Sen Reid is prepared to call further votes Today, Wednesday and beyond in order to keep up the pressure on waffling Republicans Sens. Olympia J. Snowe and Susan Collins of Maine, Sen. Scott Brown (Mass.), and Sen. Charles E. Grassley (Iowa).(see article)

Hillary’s Hate spreads to Fox

Liz Trotta

Well I thought that the flames on this story had died down but it looks like someone keeps fanning the coals. Veteran reporter, editor and contributor to T.V. ‘s Fox news Liz Trotta reporting on Sen. Clinton’s assassination remarks seems to have made news herself when she joked about “knocking off Obama.”

A bad idea is like a virus whether intended or not Sen. Clinton dropped an idea into the social psyche that is still working itself through.

Like a bad cold Fox’s Trotta, a former Washington Times editor and three-time Emmy winner apparently infected with the thought of assassination attempted to make light of the situation adding her own comic twist with a play on Sen. Obama’s name apparently confusing it with Osama and then suggesting that maybe both Osama and Obama should be “knocked off” in keeping with the spirit of Sen. Clinton’s reference of assassination. (see video)

In a later interview with Fox Ms. Trotta is asked to further analyze Sen. Clinton’s assassination remarks and compare them to the Senator’s explanations and apologies.

After which Ms. Trotta was ask about her own remarks to which Ms. Trotta apologized. She intimated that diversity was a problem in this year’s campaign and because of it people were going to have to be careful of what they say. (see video)

I’m not so sure that people have to be careful of what they say Ms. Trotta but here’s a quick rule of thumb, just steer away from intimating the death of a rival candidate and do not attempt to tie a candidate’s name association with known terrorists or to religious extremism.

You do that and you should be okay.

And the same applies to you Sen. Clinton!
