Premature Nobel Selection

SNL’s Fred Armisen parodies the 2009 choice for the Noble Peace Prize
Let me be clear, I do not view it as a recognition of my own accomplishments, but rather as an affirmation of American leadership on behalf of aspirations held by people in all nations.—President Barry Hussein Soetoro
How funny! President Soetoro said that he didn’t deserve the Nobel Peace Prize but he’s going to take the unmerited award anyway just to placate the international community. A community that likes and wants to continue to encourage Soetoro’s America bashing. Plus they don’t mind continuing their attempts to influence any of his decisions. You know the ones which are detrimental to our safely,to our security and to our national sovereignty.

There are many reasons that president Soetoro was awarded the Peace Prize; The international community is still attempting to meddle in internal U.S. affairs, the international community is attempt to sway Soetoro’s decision regarding sending reinforcements into the war in Afghanistan, (did I say war?)

Oh, I get it, if you are internationally popular you can wage a war and still win a peace prize. Is that what “being open-minded” means to Liberals? But the last and the most likely reason that Soetoro was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize is that he isn't George W. Bush! (see 2:47min video)

Funny. Bush has been made poster boy for "you can’t please everyone." After betraying Conservatives and courting Liberals with his Compassionate Conservatism, Liberals are still beating up on Bush. Let this be a lesson for you John McCain, Lindsey Graham Conservatives! No, on second thought let John McCain's loss be a lesson to you John McCain Lindsey Graham Conservatives!
Good morning.

Well, this is not how I expected to wake up this morning.

After I received the news, Malia walked in and said, 'Daddy, you won the Nobel Peace Prize, and it is Bo's birthday.'

And then Sasha added, 'Plus, we have a three-day weekend coming up.'
—President Barry Hussein Soetoro
I loved Soetoro’s initial reaction though, it was like, hey it’s my dog’s birthday and a three day weekend coming up and I win the Peace Prize, hum… which one is more important? Like these things were just as important as the Peace Prize. And upon reflection maybe that’s just what the Nobel Committee has reduced the stature of this once prestigious award too, a dog’s birthday, a three day weekend and oh yeah the Nobel Peace Prize.

So let me ask, was assigning this prize a strategically placed Norwegian political statement or was it a great big Norwegian political man crush?

Apparently Chris Matthews is not the only Beta male who gets a warm tingle up his leg every time he thinks of Barry Hussein Soetoro. Apparently the Nobel Prize committee also lacks self control when their most intimate thoughts center on the big things that might happen if they get in the same room with president Soetoro. It’s like they couldn’t wait for the actual deed? No, they couldn’t wait for any actual deed of Soetoro thus turning a warm tingle up their legs into a premature Nobel selection.

Just what about Soetoro gave the committee a Nobel dream about him? Was it his big $787billion dollar stimulus package, or was it the way which he courts World approval at the expense of the country that he is already in a sworn committed relationship with?

Whatever the reason the committee has made the Nobel Prize more about the awarders than the awardees. Thus marking the Nobel Peace Prize for the trash heap of obscurity where once great ideas and institution land because they moved out of their prescribed intended usages.

The Nobel Peace Prize has done exactly that, by attempting to sway world public opinion rather than awarding accomplishment it was compared to a dog’s birthday or a three day weekend by its most recent recipient. By the way there were 205 nominees to chose from of merit that could have been rightly awarded this Prize.

So this is one insular isolated teachable moment that I agree with president Soetoro. When you give a man an award that he doesn’t deserve he will liken that award to the things that he knows best and in this case I agree. The awarding of this unmerited award to Barry Hussein Soetoro has no more meaning than a dog’s birthday or a three day weekend.

It doesn’t have anymore meaning than that for the President and it shouldn’t for anyone else!
