Sounding reflective as he heads into a bruising electoral season, President Barack Obama told POLITICO columnist Roger Simon that the Gulf disaster “echoes 9/11” because it will change the nation’s psyche for years to come.— POLITICO STAFFOn May 27, 2010 I posted that the Gulf Oil spill was president Soetoro’s 9/11. Well apparently, the president agrees with me because on June 13, 2010 the Politico reported that the President believes that the Gulf Oil Spill is his 9/11. (see article)
Now I have no proof that the president actually read my blog…maybe he was briefed on it. (Lol)
But it goes to show while all the other Bloggers and Media were in their echo chamber comparing the Gulf Oil spill with hurricane Katrina, your favorite blogger was the only one that had the insight to recognize the catastrophe impact that this spill is having on the political and coastal landscape of the United States is equal to that of 9/11.
Now that I’ve gotten your attention, Mr. Soetoro let me tell you, I know you’re worried about the impact that the Gulf Oil spill will have on Democrats this November. You should be concerned too because your handling of this spill suggest to all of our minds that putting government in control of everything is not very effective or the right idea.
Remember Mr. president you and your Party were supposed to be smarter, cooler and better than Bush. I must say that it’s very disconcerting to see the government that is supposed to create jobs and fix health care, thrash about like one of the many birds drenched in oil and cast up upon a shore in the Gulf of Mexico. However, your inability to actually do something about our problems is frightening.
So Mr. president you’re speaking from the Oval Office tonight. No doubt, this will be an obvious attempt to reassure the American people that your administration and Democrats are doing everything humanly possible to stop the leak in the Gulf of Mexico.
You will no doubt be attempting to cover for your fellow Democrats for voting for your Health Care Reform. You though the American people would forget. But we didn’t forget.
And you will be attempting to assure the American people that stimulus 1, stimulus 2 and stimulus 3 (the additional $52 Billion dollars that you’ll be requesting tonight) are working. And of course, you will be finger pointing at the previous administration for your problems.
Mr. president here are some tips on having a successful teleprompter reading this evening.
When the teleprompter tells, you to fault the Bush administration on anything just refuse to read that line. That will show the American people that they didn’t elect a complete whining baby for president.
Bush blaming is old, passé and puerile. Any references to what you’ve inherited will only look like you really aren’t taking responsibility for what you’ve done to the economy since you’ve been in office these 18 months. Any finger-pointing Mr. president will only suggest that you really don’t intend to acknowledge your own deficit spending, your 1st and 2nd stimulus bills and the third one you’ll probably be requesting tonight.
By the way Mr. Soetoro if you requested a 2nd stimulus and now going to request a 3rd stimulus is it safe to say that the stimulus didn’t work?
How can we trust you Mr. president with the complex problems that we face in America if you can’t create the jobs that you’ve promised or plug the hole in the Gulf of Mexico?
Mr. president you and Global warming environmental Fascists want to shut down oil and coal but none of your alternatives can meet the needs of an America economy and American consumers who need energy for jobs and everyday living.
The bottom line Mr. president is that we all know that you do nothing that is apolitical.
Your Oval office speech tonight will be a partisan apology to cover for Democrats, a speech to make excuses for the policies that you’ve enacted which are not working or you feel you need to protect Democrats from recriminations from the America people for voting for your health care reform against our will.
You will be defending the apparent incompetence represented by 57 days of oil spilling in the Gulf of Mexico and your inability to stop it. You will also be defending your administration’s claims that they were involved on “day one” but you still haven’t been able to plug the hole.
Last, you will attempt to blame George W. Bush for the mess that you and Congressional Democrats made. But Mr. president Bush handed you a won war in Iraq you promised to end the war and bring the troops home. You didn’t.
You promised to close Guantanamo Bay prison. You didn’t
You escalated the Afghanistan war calling it the “good war.”
You’ve passed Health Care reform against the will of the American people and convinced Congress to go against the will of their constituents to pass Health Care. You’ve passed stimulus bills against the will of the American people, you’ve bailed out Wall Street and Banks against the will of the American people and you have not stop the greatest environmental disaster in American history.
You are right though Mr. president, this oil spill is your 9/11 you may not have been reading my pet goat to school children on April 20, 2010 but vacationing and golfing during your 9/11 Mr. president is totally unacceptable especially when you tell the American people that you have be focused on stopping this oil spill since day one.
One other thing Mr. president, if you need any further advice please come back often. I appreciate your followship.
