European Socialism Works, the latest stupid thing that Bill Maher said

I’m not afraid to say that European Socialism works —Bill Maher
New show same old stuff.

After Bill Maher called, the American people stupid (again) on his new show Andrew Breitbart, a guest on Maher’s show asked the question, "So you're, you're officially not a Libertarian anymore, right? I mean, this position has run so far from the Libertarian position. Is this, so you admit that you have more of a, you know, European socialist leaning perspective on this issue?

Maher responded by saying, “I’m not afraid to say the European Socialism works” Oh really? European Socialism works? (see article) Then look at the ignorance that passes as political commentary coming from Maher. (see 1:59min video)

Apparently, this exchange was in response to a Maher’s question why Democrats are not defending their Health Care law now before November elections instead of hiding from a law that they forced through Congress, that was signed by president Barry Hussein Soetoro and subsequently force upon the American people by Democrats.

Maher’s position apparently is that Democrats should proudly defend their health care bill as a part of their bid to be reelected this November because American who oppose Democrat’s health care law are stupid, surely the enlightened Liberals like Maher would support Democrats.

The only thing wrong with Maher’s argument is that it is false. Socialism in the form of Obamacare won’t work in the U.S. and European Socialism, from which it is based on, contrary to Maher’s claim, does not work in Europe. (see article)(see 1:53min video)

The recent rioting in Greece is a direct result of the failing socialist entitlement policies of Europe. The deficit crisis has undermined the sustainability of European social welfare, lavish vacations, early retirements, extensive welfare benefits and Europe’s national health care system. Europe’s complete socialist system is failing and ignorant Bill Maher thinks it works. In addition, he feels that the European model is something that America should aspire too.

Across Western Europe, the “lifestyle superpower,” the assumptions and gains of a lifetime are suddenly in doubt. The deficit crisis that threatens the euro has also undermined the sustainability of the European standard of social welfare, built by left-leaning governments since the end of World War II.
Europeans have boasted about their social model, with its generous vacations and early retirements, its national health care systems and extensive welfare benefits, contrasting it with the comparative harshness of American capitalism.
Europeans have benefited from low military spending, protected by NATO and the American nuclear umbrella. They have also translated higher taxes into a cradle-to-grave safety net. “The Europe that protects” is a slogan of the European Union. -- STEVEN ERLANGER

News flash to Bill Maher we don’t need to see Obamacare in full effect to know that it’s not going to work. All we have to do is look at Europe’s failed attempt at universal health care.

For God ’s sake, Bill Europe is out of money and the citizens are rioting in the streets because their socialist cradle to grave world is coming apart.

The stories of Greek unrest that came to a head this past summer shocked the world. There, people had become so dependent upon government programs that when parliament tried to dismantle the welfare state, left-wing terrorist and anarchist groups lashed out.

Tens of thousands of people converged on the city center as part of a general strike that paralyzed flights, ferries, schools and hospitals. A Greek riot police officer ran from protesters during clashes in Athens.

Does this look like Socialism in Europe works to anyone other than Bill Maher?
