If you chose not to buy Health Care Insurance you would face legal action from the Internal Revenue Service, according to the Joint Committee on Taxation. That would be in the form of a mandated penalty as high as $1,900 dollars for non-compliance.

Working on behalf of the American people Sen. John Ensign (R-Nev.) received confirmation that this was indeed the Democrat’s plan in the form of a handwritten note from Joint Committee on Taxation Chief of Staff Tom Barthold (see note)and (see story)
Under questioning from Sen. John Ensign (R-Nev.), Barthold said the IRS would "take you to court and undertake normal collection proceedings."The president still insists that nobody’s talking about government taking over health care.
Ensign pursued the line of questioning because he said a lot of Americans don't believe the Constitution allows the government to mandate the purchase of insurance.
"We could be subjecting those very people who conscientiously, because they believe in the U.S. Constitution, we could be subjecting them to fines or the interpretation of a judge, all the way up to imprisonment," Ensign said. "That seems to me to be a problem."

Many people are not paying attention to what is
coming. Like little children they are too trusting
and want to believe the government wouldn't betray
them or turn into the iron fisted dictatorship
that is slowly emerging every day.

I have mentioned the Cap and Trade bill to people
and some of them have never even heard of it until
I mentioned it and explained how it is going to
financially destroy a lot of people. The lack of
attention that many people are showing on important
matters that will have an adverse impact on everyone is rather discouraging.
