Obama is Ineligible for the Nobel Peace Prize

Chairman of the Norwegian Nobel Committee, Thorbjoern Jagland
Members of the Norwegian committee that gave Barack Obama the Nobel Peace Prize are strongly defending their choice against a storm of criticism that the award was premature and a potential liability for the U.S. president.-- IAN MacDOUGALL and KARL RITTER
There is no defending this choice. This choice violates the will of Alfred Nobel.

As the saying goes, it’s a bad joke if you have to explain it. So imagine the laugh out loud joke of first giving the Nobel Peace Prize to President Barry Hussein Soetoro and then having to explain it like the members of the Norwegian committee has been doing for days now.(see story)

AP news reports that four members of the five-seat panel told The Associated Press that they had expected the decision to generate both surprise and criticism.

So what, the Nobel committee is playing Punk’d with the Nobel Peace Prize now? Is Ashton Kutcher on the panel?
"Alfred Nobel wrote that the prize should go to the person who has contributed most to the development of peace in the previous year,"
Here we go again something else that Barry Hussein Soetoro is not eligible for.

By the criteria outlined in Alfred Nobel’s 1895 will Soetoro doesn’t even qualify for the Nobel Peace Prize this year. The will explicitly states that the Peace Prize will be awarded to the person who has contributed most to the development of peace in the previous year. The Noble committee is completely ignoring the will of Alfred Noble to make a political statement by giving president Soetoro an unmerited award which he is ineligible for.

The previous year in this case is 2008 Soetoro became president at noon January 20, 2009 according to most sources Soetoro name was submitted to the Nobel committee 12 days after the inauguration. No matter how hard the committee attempts to justify the unmerited award there is just no way that Soetoro deserved the Nobel Peace Prize and to his credit he has said so himself but to his fault he still intends to take the unmerited award.

He would have had to accomplish some acts worthy of note in 2008. Soetoro wasn’t president in 2008 he was campaigning for President in 2008. Awarding the Peace Prize outside of the stated will of Alfred Noble dishonors Noble, the Prize and everyone involved.

According to Ian MacDougall and Karl Ritter the decision stunned even the most seasoned Nobel watchers. They hadn't expected Soetoro, who took office barely two weeks before the Feb. 1 nomination deadline, to be seriously considered until at least next year. That would have been the appropriate time to nominate and award Soetoro if in fact he was judged worthy at the time.

Nothing that the committee can say can erase the fact that they are willfully disregarding the criteria outlined in the will of Alfred Nobel and superseding his will with their own personal political agenda.

If Barry Hussein Soetoro accepts this bogus award he along with the committee will be forever tainted as the committee with a political agenda that awarded an illegitimate 2009 Nobel Prize Peace to an ineligible recipient.

Can’t this president do anything legitimately?

"It's an embarrassment and even an impediment to peace. President Obama, in letting the committee
award it to him, has made himself look vain, a fool and dangerously lost in his own mystique." - "Scrap the Nobel Peace Prize" - Bronwen Maddox, foreign affairs commentator, wrote in The Times of London -

"Unworthy" and "ineligible" are synonymous now?

You have a unique grasp of the English language.

  3. For all my remedial readers:

"Alfred Nobel wrote that the prize should go to the person who has contributed most to the development of peace in the previous year,"

Since Barry Soetoro was not president in 2008 and all of the things that the committee referenced as the reason that he was given the Nobel award occurred in 2009 he is ineligible as outlined by Alfred Nobel's will.

Just do the math Anon, Jeez!

His unworthiness is a complete separate matter. But thanks for raising that issue too. He is unworthy as well! LOL!

" . . all of the things that the committee referenced as the reason that he was given the Nobel award occurred in 2009. . ."

    That's what they said, huh?

  5. Hahahaha...Okay,okay..I'm picking myself off of the floor. Do this Anon look at all of the things that the committee cited as reason for them giving the prize to Soetoro and identify everything that happened in 2008 or before. LOL!

I could've sworn that Obama gave his speech to Germany in 2008. Could've sworm that he talked about mending relations between the West and the Muslim world throughout the campaign in 2008 as well.

Who do you believe should have received the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize?

I get a kick out of how you call him President Barry Soetero as if that actually meant something.

  7. Oh yes the "People of the world speeches" so you think that he was awarded the Nobel Prize for that great body of work do you?

Committee Chairman Thorbjoern Jagland disagrees with you he told AP news that it was Soetoro's outreach to the Muslim world and the way the president “modified” a Bush-era proposal for an anti-missile shield in Europe as his accomplishments. Both things occurred in 2009 when Soetoro was president.

But you go right ahead believing that he was awarded the Prize for speechifying.

There were 205 people on the list that the committee passed over that did actual works of peace in 2008. So forgive me if I don't share your enthusiasm for Soetoro's speech making abilities.

In Obama's 2008 speech in Germany, the lines:

"The walls between races and tribes; natives and immigrants; Christian and Muslim and Jew cannot stand. These now are the walls we must tear down."

    and

"If we could win a battle of ideas against the communists, we can stand with the vast majority of Muslims who reject the extremism that leads to hate instead of hope."

    and

"The Afghan people need our troops and your troops; our support and your support to defeat the Taliban and al Qaeda, to develop their economy, and to help them rebuild their nation. We have too much at stake to turn back now."

would pretty much fall under the banner of outreach to the Muslim world.

So who should have won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize?

  9. Barry also should get an award for "liar
    of the year", as well.
