Obama takes eye off of the Jobs ball

The Labor Department said Thursday that first-time claims increased by 18,000 in the week ended April 3, to a seasonally adjusted 460,000.

That's worse than economists' estimates of a drop to 435,000, according to a survey by Thomson Reuters.

Since his State of the Union promise to focus like a laser beam on jobs the president has done everything but. His Omni-directional approach to governess is buckshot efficacy when high caliper scoped precision was needed to help American with the primary thing that is destroying the economy—the lack of jobs.

“…that is why jobs must be our number one focus in 2010 and that’s why I’m calling for a new jobs bill tonight.”—president Barry Hussein Soetoro
(see 2:06min video)

But in spite of all of the promises the Soetoro administration wasted a whole year on health care legislation which they have subsequently signed into law. However they are still defending their actions weeks after they made the president’s signature bill law.

They did this choosing to neglect the most important thing for Americans—jobs. And along with the excessive time spent on health care the president has chosen to ignite a cultural fire-fight over homosexuality in the military, he was chosen to sign a treaty disarming America’s defensive capabilities and he has chosen to pick fights with America’s historical allies.

Now because of Democrats’ over spending and divided attentions the most important concern for all Americans is going lacking. (see 1:04mins video)

The media is claiming that initial job claims have increased unexpectedly. Why would anyone expect the lack of attention that this president has paid to the real problems facing this country to result in different results?

According to Christopher Rugaber the number of newly laid-off workers seeking unemployment benefits rose last week, a sign that jobs remain scarce. (see article)

The greatest threat to the middle class and to the American people is that jobs have been allowed to leave this country for several decades. Presently there is nothing in the Soetoro agenda that will either stop jobs leaving or create new jobs.

So much for the president’s promises to the middle class on jobs and no taxes, the middle class will not get the jobs promised but will get the taxes that the president promised that they wouldn’t get.

And so much for hope and change!
