“The temperature records cannot be relied on as indicators of global change,” said John Christy, professor of atmospheric science at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, a former lead author on the IPCC.-- Jonathan Leake
In its last assessment the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) said the evidence that the world was warming was “unequivocal” wrote Jonathan Leake reporter for the Timesonline UK.
The IPCC warned that greenhouse gases had already heated the world by 0.7C and that there could be 5C-6C more warming by 2100, with devastating impacts on humanity and wildlife. However, new research, including work by British scientists, is casting doubt on such claims. Some even suggest the world may not be warming much at all. (see story)
This new report is helping to bring a dramatic conclusion to the scientific farce known as Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW). The fact that the errand hypothesis of AGW is being disproved day by day and has helped morphed it into the all encompassing and ambiguous phase called Climate Change.
Global Warming’s change to Climate Change should have been the first indicator that something was not quite right. To give a particular scientific phenomenon the same name and characteristics as a phenomenon that is normal and reoccurring in nature at both the historical and seasonal levels doesn’t make for good scientific unbiased observable quantifying.
Instead what it does is obscure the facts which we now know probably was the intent all along.
What is more, in light of other recent disclosures of scientific malfeasance regarding global warming, this new report shows us that AGW advocates were willing to dispel and destroy the factual evidence of no global warming or the lack thereof pressuring their peers and the public into group think and P.C. thinking also referred to as consensus. This group think has permeated the sociality at all levels —even at the scientific level.
Terry Mills, professor of applied statistics and econometrics at Loughborough University, looked at the same data as the IPCC. He found that the warming trend it reported over the past 30 years or so was just as likely to be due to random fluctuations as to the impacts of greenhouse gases. Mills’s findings are to be published in Climatic Change, an environmental journal.—Jonathan Leake
Yet there are those that still insist that AGW is real although almost everything that previously supported this claim has been disproved as either bad science or no science at all.
According to Leake, Kevin Trenberth, a lead author of the chapter of the IPCC report that deals with the observed temperature changes, said he accepted there were problems with the global thermometer record but these had been accounted for in the final report.
But according to the report ,”Surface Temperature Records: Driven by Deception?” written by Joseph D’Aleo and Anthony Watts adjustments were not made or were made poorly. (source pg 34)
Leake also reported that , The European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts has recently issued a new set of global temperature readings covering the past 30 years, with thermometer readings augmented by satellite data.
Dr Vicky Pope, head of climate change advice at the Met Office, said: “This new set of data confirms the trend towards rising global temperatures and suggest[s] that, if anything, the world is warming even more quickly than we had thought.”
Is this some sad attempt to keep the AGW scare going by unflagging climate change scaremongers?
For instance the argument that Antarctica is gaining ice, made by Patrick Michaels, senior fellow in environmental studies at the Cato Institute is placed in the skeptics column by Skeptical Science website, a global warming alarmists site.
This is laughable as Skeptical Science performs so called “scientific” acrobatics to avoid Ockham’s Razor.
"The amount of ice surrounding Antarctica is now at the highest level since satellites began to monitor it almost 30 years ago. It’s simply too cold for rain in Antarctica and it'll stay that way for a very long time. The bottom line is there is more ice than ever surrounding Antarctica."—Patrick Michaels
Ockham's Razor is the principle proposed by William of Ockham in the fourteenth century: ``Pluralitas non est ponenda sine neccesitate'', which translates as ``entities should not be multiplied unnecessarily''. In many cases this is interpreted as ``keep it simple'' or "the simplest solution is usually the correct one"
What Skeptical Science does is construct a complicatedly opaque argument which conclusion is, “the amount of ice surrounding Antarctica is now at the highest level since satellites began to monitor it almost 30 years ago.” With of course a few caveats, addendums and theretofores.
“Antarctic sea ice has shown long term growth since satellites began measurements in 1979. This is an observation that has been often cited as proof against global warming. However, rarely is the question raised: why is Antarctic sea ice increasing?” –Skeptical Science’s violation of Ockham Razor (source)
When the issue of AGW was originally raised it was presented as a consensus. No argument, no questions but in the end we find that there was no science—no creditable science.
Now that the truth is coming out we all understand that consensus is not science. Those who have said so have done a great deal of damage to science.
Noemie Emery’s article, “Democrats inflicting themselves with wedge issues” and Michael Barone’s article, “With absolute power, Team Obama grows stupid” both attempt to diagnosis the problems ailing the Democrat agenda.
Emery starts out by illustrating good and great politicians and then contrasts those politicians against the “I’m the Greatest” wannabe, president Barry Hussein Soetoro. And no the irony was not lost on me. Emery doesn’t consider president Soetoro either a good or a great politician.
Good politicians, like Ike and JFK (and yes, our Bill Clinton), use the landscape around them to shape coalitions that sustain them in power. Great politicians, like Reagan and Franklin D. Roosevelt, refashion the landscape, creating realignments that survive them by decades.
Obama, by contrast, has done something different: He first formed, and then shredded, his own coalition, creating wedge issues that splintered his party, with no help from opponents at all.—Noemie Emery
Barone begins by slamming the Soetoro Chicago inner circle. He notes that they were brilliant campaigners but have turned out to be mere amateurs at governing.
How could such smart people do so many stupid things? That question, or variations on it, is being asked in Washington and around the country about the Obama administration.
The same people who directed the campaign that defeated Hillary Clinton and routed John McCain, a campaign that raised far more money and attracted far more volunteers than any before it, have within a year come up with a legislative program that is crashing in ruins and that, to judge from recent polls, has left the Democratic party weaker than I have seen it in almost 50 years of closely following politics.
The 2008 campaign was an impressive achievement. So, in a negative way, is the 2009 legislative program that has left the Democrats in such woeful shape in 2010.—Michael Barone
So just what has happened to the righteous wind at the back of president Soetoro? Just where is the love, that swept him into power just one short year ago? Democrats are now scratching their heads and they want to know.
What is true is, president Barry Soetoro government can be summed up in two areas. Barry Hussein Soetoro himself is an Ideologue who surrounds himself with Ideologues. And second, he promotes a radical socialist agenda as policy by which he means to change America. In other words it’s the Big Tent Socialism Stupid!
It’s the people that this president chooses to work in his administration; it’s the way that this president is going about conducting the affairs if this country and it’s the policies that this president is promoting. It’s all wrong for America and the American people see it.
Emery relays a story of a Soetoro government under fire from all sides of the liberal spectrum. According to Emery, the Associated Press writes of "Democrat-vs.-Democrat anger" in all sorts of venues. (This is like Thunderdome under the Big Tent)
The House of Representatives Democrats at odds with Senate Democrats. Senate Democrats at odds with the White House and the moveon.org and Daily Kos radicals angry at everyone, this is the failing Big Tent concept that ridiculously many establishment Republicans believe they need in order to be a viable Party. (No wonder they lost in 2008).
This is even more reason that RNC chairman Michael Steele should consider some kind of rubric to define what a Conservative is so that “Progressive Conservatives” like Meghan McCain, Compassionate Conservatives or Maine Conservatives can be exposed for the frauds that they are and can be stopped from harming the Party similar to what Democrats are experiencing (see story)
Barone on the other hand believes that Democrats troubles are embedded in the Chicago clique that surrounds the president. In Barone’s opinion the president would have better served himself and the country had he availed himself to the wisdom of the Washington establishment instead of the small town Chicago politics which he brought to Washington. (see story)
Team Obama failed to realize they were no longer running in Chicago or in the Democratic primaries or facing an electorate fed up with Republicans. And, more important, they failed to realize that vastly expanding government goes deeply against the American grain -- and against the basic appeal of their successful campaign.—Michael Barone
What I believe is, president Soetoro overestimated himself and his ability to sell his message of hope the American people aren’t watching too closely has I change their system of government to a non-Constitutional Socialist model.
I also believe that he misread the American people. Soetoro believed that he could say anything and the America people would accept it just because he said it. He also thought that he could completely topple the figurative political statue of George W. Bush in the square of public opinion and the American people would climb upon it and while hitting it with shoes they would howl, wail and ululate. He was wrong on all counts.
Now that the American people see that the message of hope and change is in actuality a message of government control, lost of freedoms, gross deficit spending and of course blaming the previous administration, the American people have rejected the rhetoric because for the first time they see the reality.
The reality is, as Joe Biden said on the campaign trail in 2008 Barry Hussein Soetoro wasn’t ready to lead and as Hillary Clinton warned us we needed someone ready to lead on day one. They were both warning us that Barry Hussein Soetoro would not be even a good president let alone a great president. We should have listened.
What we voted for in spite of their warnings was a piped piper with a melodious message of hope and change when we needed a seasoned conductor who could conduct this symphony which is America.
Barry Hussein Soetoro has been attempting to change the sheet music of America during the concert presentation. That is not just a rookie mistake that is an indication of someone completely out of touch with reality. That is why the president is failing, he is out of touch with American reality. On the contrary he envisions a new Utopian European socialist hybrid American country.
The American people finally see that president Soetoro is not attempting to fix what is wrong with America he is attempting to fundamentally change America into something that it was never intended to be.
Democrats if you want to know what is wrong with the Soetoro presidency, it is the president’s vision of America. It’s the Big Tent Socialism Stupid!
When a sitting president calls for bipartisanship by the opposition – he really means surrender. And if they block his proposals, its "obstinacy" and not political views they hold as strongly as he holds his. — Mark Knoller
Mark Knoller’s, “Obama Says Bipartisanship, But What He Wants Is GOP Surrender,” is a complete deconstruction of the Barry Hussein Soetoro pretense for bipartisanship. (see article)
"Despite the political posturing that often paralyzes this town, there are many issues upon which we can and should agree, he said.
It was more a plaintive plea than a political observation. His top legislative priorities are going nowhere and he's searching for a way to get them out of lockup. --Mark Knoller
Knoller get’s it. Democrats, their leader and Spokesperson-in-Chief, president Soetoro declared jihad on their political rivals the Republican Party after the 2000 election which George W. Bush won. For eight continuous years Democrats unrelentingly battered and beat up on the hapless George Bush.
So extreme and vile was their hatred for Bush that Democrats would have preferred that America lose the Iraq war than let Bush receive credit for winning it. They did in fact declare the war lost several times. Everyone from Democrat Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to the late Congressman John Murtha on the Democrat side of the aisle called the war lost.
This goes to show that Democrats were willing to jeopardize the safety and security of the Nation and give aid and comfort to the enemies of America in order to destroy President Bush. If the war was lost, they thought, it would put President Bush in the worst possible light and ensure his defeat in 2004.
Bush won in 2004 and Democrats continued to undermine his presidency until the day that Barack Hussein Obama was inaugurated. It should be noted that during president Soetoro’s whole campaign he berated and belittled George W. Bush as most Democrats did. And as a result of their combined efforts they won the presidency and a super majority in the Congress in 2008.
It is on that background that we must understand the context of president Soetoro’s call for bipartisanship, the only thing more disingenuous then president Soetoro’s call for bipartisanship between Democrats and Republicans is Palestinians’ demand on Israel requesting land for peace.
Hamas's 1988 charter calls for replacing the State of Israel with a Palestinian Islamic state in the area that is now Israel, the West Bank, and the Gaza Strip.(source)
Mark Knoller notes that president Soetoro’s call for bipartisanship is really a request for Republicans to give up their principles, and their beliefs to surrender to Soetoro’s legislative ideology.
Mr. Obama said he "won't hesitate to embrace a good idea from my friends in the minority party." But he wants his way. He wants his energy policy enacted along with his jobs bill, his financial regulatory reform and his health care plan.
And if the opposition continues to block his objectives, he said he "won't hesitate to condemn what I consider to be obstinacy that's rooted not in substantive disagreement but in political expedience."—Mark Knoller
What that means is in the president’s mind Republicans shouldn’t exist just as Israel shouldn’t exist according to Islamic leaders like the late Yasser Arafat and Mahmoud Adinemadjab.
Who could ever forget the 2000 President Clinton summit between Palestine ’s Yasser Arafat and Israel ’s Ehud Barak which was meant to produce peace in the Middle East.
According to Palestine Facts.org
Prime Minister Ehud Barak offered the most substantial concessions and far reaching proposals, going beyond all the long-standing Israeli "red lines", especially as regards Jerusalem . The US team called Barak "courageous" for these offers. When these terms were later revealed in Israel , people were stunned at the extent of the concessions Barak offered and it is unclear whether the Israeli public were prepared to support the deal.
However they were never given the opportunity to endorse or reject the proposals; Arafat rejected them out of hand.
The details were not disclosed formally, but according to media reports Barak's offer included: • Israeli redeployment from 95% of the West Bank and 100% of the Gaza Strip • The creation of a Palestinian state in the areas of Israeli withdrawal • The removal of isolated settlements and transfer of the land to Palestinian control • Other Israeli land exchanged for West Bank settlements remaining under Israeli control • Palestinian control over East Jerusalem, including most of the Old City • "Religious Sovereignty" over the Temple Mount , replacing Israeli sovereignty in effect since 1967
In return Arafat had to declare the "end of conflict" and agree that no further claims on Israel could be made in the future. Despite the considerable concessions by Israel , Arafat chose not to negotiate, not to make a counter-offer but to just walk out. (source)
The issue is this reader, Democrats, like an Islamic nation state, fundamental goal is to have it all. Every point of concession that Israel or Republicans make would make them incrementally smaller and weaker.
Republicans in bipartisan negotiations with President Soetoro will be expected to concede their principles giving more and more ground when, as example, this health care bill is already written by far left ideologues.
True bipartisanship would call for the scrapping of this bill and both Parties craft a bill from the ground up. As it is presently written ideologues in the Democrat Party, Pelosi and Reid, whose ultimate goal is to impose Liberal ideology on the Western world to the exclusion of Conservative principles, wrote this bill so this bill has a Liberal makeup intrinsically.
In other words bipartisan efforts to the president and Democrats actually means, come join us forcing left wing policies on the people of the United States. And if the people don’t like it they’ll have us both to blame.
Soetoro brought the subject of bipartisanship up so if he is serious about it and he is not just trying to get some political advantage by calling for bipartisanship when he really doesn’t want it then he has to lead. And as a show of leadership he should be ready to make the first substantial concessions. Republicans wish to start from scratch, the president should do that.
Soetoro and Democrats are the ones faced with the deficit of trust so the onus is on them to make Republicans feel that this is not some kind of trick.
If the president is unable or unwilling to do this then we all know that his true motives were not to work in a bipartisanship way after all. His true motives were to put Republicans at a disadvantage and in the worst light possible.
Under the pretense of bipartisanship the president actually wanted to push Republicans into the Sea.
After months of seeing Obama try to muscle legislation through with only Democratic votes, Republicans are wary of his new overture.
The election of Republican Scott Brown in Massachusetts changed the balance of power in the Senate, forcing the president to recalibrate.— RICARDO ALONSO-ZALDIVAR
Ambush, setup, waylay, bushwhack , trap, snare, gob, maw or recalibrate. Oh did I mention that Democrat Uber-Partisan President Barry Hussein Soetoro is scheduling a meeting with Republicans to(as Soetoro says) find bipartisan solutions with which to get his signature Legislation, Health Care, passed.
In an effort to put Republicans on the spot on health care, President Obama said he will invite them to the White House for a televised meeting later this month to try reignite the push for a bill. -- Kara Rowland (source)
However, Soetoro has spent a whole year depleting his trust capital with acts that could be perceived as anti-American. Not to mention that he has committed harsh partisan acts that could only be described as anti- Republican. At this early juncture in his presidency Soetoro has lost trust with the people. It’s a matter of trust president Soetoro and you have none. But let’s go back to the beginning shall we…
Contrary to the promises of bipartisanship president Soetoro has acted out as a strident partisan. And in spite of multiple promises that all Health Care negotiation would be bathe in the bright sunlight of transparency instead it was forged in the deep darkness of the Congressional netherworld. At one point as many as three to four bills circulated in those underground caverns where they were guarded and kept safe from view by the mythological three-headed dog Cerberus. (This is probably the same dog that guards the president’s long form birth certificate and the rest of any identifying documents that he has guarded and on lockdown.)
Here’s what we know, president Soetoro is in a crisis by his own words he is in a deficit of trust. After one year of seeing the Democrat attempt to force their agenda on America and after a year of hearing the president go on incessantly attempting to show us that he was the smartest person in the room on every topic, Americans have drawn the conclusion based on the Democrat agenda and their talking head president (who by the way doesn’t keep his campaign promises) that conclusion is, we don’t trust him or his Party. Most Americans believe the president’s health care summit is just for show. A show to show-up Republicans. (see story)
It is clear that if Democrats could have they would have forced all of their political agenda items through Congress to be signed by their Uber-partisan president. Whether it would have been Health Care Reform or Global Warming legislation.
They tried it— armed with their Super majority in Congress and a presidential spokes mouth. They relegated Republicans to the sidelines and they jammed their partisan issues into the faces of the America people all without Republican participation for the most part.
Soetoro’s numbers are only 44% of the America people believe that he is doing a good job, which means that the American people have heard all of the hype but they have seen none of the hope that was promised in the change.
What is true is Republicans didn’t have numbers in Congress to stop Democrats from getting their prized agenda items through. It was Democrat’s fellow Democrats who stopped Health Care Reform not Republicans.
Nevertheless a Democrat controlled Congress and the President’s favorability poll numbers have tanked. Soetoro’s numbers are only 44% of the America people believe that he is doing a good job, which means that the American people have heard all of the hype but they have seen none of the hope that was promised in the change.
Soetoro who is noted for wanting to spread the wealth around has taken on a new tact, now he wishes to spread the blame around for the failure of his ideas and his policies, in essence his whole government. So that alone explains the about face.
Instead of excluding the Republicans as Democrats have done for the entire first year of the Soetoro presidency now Democrats want to craftily draw Republicans in so that Republicans can share some of the blame that Democrats have heaped on themselves.
Ergo Soetoro calls for a Bipartisan Health Care summit.
A bipartisan meeting where he controls all aspects of the meeting and the agenda then he invites in CSPAN why? Why to attempt to shift blame to Republicans. That way in November voters will have no discernable difference between the two Parties which to base their voting decisions on.
Democrats say they want to resolve remaining differences between the House and Senate versions of their own legislation in advance of the meeting. That may mean Obama wants to emphasize contrasts with Republicans, not probe for common ground.— RICARDO ALONSO-ZALDIVAR
This ploy is so obvious that it is the only thing transparent in the Soetoro administration. It’s the political version of the rope-a-dope employed by Barry Hussein Ali. This Health care monstrosity is a Democrat vehicle down to its chassis now for Republicans to add on to it would be like Toyota sending their recalled vehicles into GM for repair.
And if Republicans refuse to play along or if there is no agreement reached Soetoro and his media sycophants will begin the Bush blame game. However, this time they will place blame on Congressional Republicans in general. And it’ll all be recorded on CSPAN.
What should Republicans do?
First thing, Republicans should have nothing to do with legislation that was already written without them—start the process over. Any legislation that Democrats crafted by themselves is flawed and filled with untrustworthy legislation.
Second Republicans should ask to see the president’s health care ideas. He has been touting this thing for a year surely he has something to show the people and Republicans in writing. Enough with the talk lets see what the president has if anything.
Third thing Republicans should go over the president’s ideas with a fine tooth comb in the truest bipartisan spirit. Exposing those ideas to the disinfectant of sunlight.
Fourth after and only after Republicans have seen the president’s ideas they should present theirs in the same fashion and spirit that the president presents his.
Fifth Republicans should have a say in the format and structure of the meeting and demand equal assess to presenting their ideas. They are not reporting to or answering to the president. The Congress is not subservient to the President in our system.
The Legislative and Executive branches are co-equal branchs one is not above the other Republicans should not allow the president to act as if he is above them.
Starting from scratch is not an option, Democrats say. But Republicans say they can't see the House and Senate Democratic bills as a beginning. For one thing, both would raise taxes.— RICARDO ALONSO-ZALDIVAR
And if the Democrats don’t want to start from scratch then they didn’t want to work bipartisanly now did they.
Remember Democrats could not get their own Party to pass this bill without $100-$300 million dollars in added federal aid for Medicaid recipients, a bribe of the Senator of Louisiana Mary Landieu and the Corn Husker kickbacks worth a permanent exemption from the state share of Medicaid for the state of Nebraska for Sen. Ben Nelson and the Flordia Flim-flam, a deal to grandfather Medicare Advantage enrollees in Florida – apprx $5 Billion for Florida Sen. Bill Nelson (source)
Therefore Republicans should not allow the president to aim the CSPAN cameras on them while he and Democrats direct this production and make this film all about blaming Republicans.
"Now, I am the first to confess I am not always right. Michelle will testify to that. But surely you can question my policies without questioning my faith, or, for that matter, my citizenship.
Challenging each other's ideas can renew our democracy. But when we challenge each other's motives, it becomes harder to see what we hold in common. We forget that we share at some deep level the same dreams – even when we don't share the same plans on how to fulfill them." —president Barry Hussein Soetoro
President Barry Hussein Soetoro had a lot on this mind at the National Prayer Breakfast February 4, 2010. He thought that he’d confess the fact that he’s not always right. Something that he apparently thought his religious audience would like to hear, but certainly not at all what he really believes. (see 1:03min video)
President Soetoro elected to miss the first prayer breakfast of his presidency last year. Maybe because it was a little too much prayer for his liking or maybe a little too religious for his taste. Or maybe he was still trying to earn his Muslim street cred, whatever the case Soetoro first year in office had very little resemblance of a president that was living by Christian values.
And then suddenly after one year of hiding his light under a bushel the president closed out his first year by announcing at the end of the SOTU address that he was going to promote homosexuality in the Armed Forces.
If nothing else Mr. Soetoro’s prayer breakfast confess gives us insight into his concept of right and wrong, concepts evidently not born out of the Christian tradition as far as I can tell.
In president Soetoro’s world, the politics which drive his policies are not connected to his faith. And the fact that he is ineligible to serve as president of the United States of America (or at least the fact that half of the populace thinks so) doesn’t bother him. He thinks that you shouldn’t be concerned about that very small constitutional matter either.
Also, in president Soetoro’s world his ideas are suspended in space completely separate from his motives. Soetoro knows that if his motives were ever known Americans would realize that we and this president have absolutely very little in common other then we all live in this country together.
Soetoro knows that only at the most fundamental level does he and Americans have anything in common. Again that fundamental level is we all live in this country together.
President Soetoro knows that he and Americans don’t share the same dreams. His dream is to fundamentally change America we on the other hand wish to change what’s wrong with America, Soetoro included.
President Soetoro realizes that his means justifies the ends philosophy is different from most Americans. He also believes that Americans are not smart enough to discern between his methods and his goals.
Unfortunately for the president Americans are smart enough and we are not particularly endeared with either his methods or his goals.
Finally, what’s so fascinating about Soetoro’s acknowledgement is that he is aware of the controversy surrounding his ineligibility. He knows that Americans are concerned about his ineligibility yet he does nothing to alleviate the questions that hundreds of thousands of Americans have.
All that the president would have to do is show legitimately concerned citizens that he is in fact eligible to be president and this problem goes away. And that doesn’t require prayer at all, just doing.
Otherwise there is an old saying in Tennessee and in Texas that I heard from President Bush which is, fool us once… shame on you …fool me can’t get fooled again!
Without proof that you are eligible to serve Mr. president you are but a one term president who has just started his lame duck period. And no amount of prayer can or will change that!
“I don't think it's healthy to dismiss proper skepticism Science grows and improves in the light of criticism. There is a fundamental uncertainty about climate change prediction that can't be changed.”-- John Beddington, Chief Scientific Adviser to the British government
Denier was the strongest pejorative that Global warming alarmist can muster from their repertoire of insults for those who don’t agree with their alarmist’s theory concerning Anthropogenic Global Warming or (AGW). An Insult which was meant to quash any questioning or open debate over the ideology of AGW or its most recent manifestation man-made Climate Change.
The term Denier is supposed to evoke all of the images of crazes and half loons who would go half cocked denouncing the fact that the Holocaust actually happened. An event which is historically noted that 6 million Jews died and of which evidence still remains. Only the craziest of hate filled racists would deny such a reality.
Therefore if one were to disagree with the scientific consensus, that man is the cause of the recent increase in earth’s temperature, then one is as crazy as Iran’s president Mahoud Amadinejad, a rabid holocaust denier.
One observation that has become increasingly clear is that recently disclosed evidence is showing that the crazies and the half loons are not those who are asking questions about the validity of the science surrounding the theory of AGW. No as recent disclosures show, i.e. emails and the lack of scientific research to support AGW’s various claims, the purveyors of AGW are the ones who have gone to extraordinarily lengths and crazed tactics to establish a non-scientific theory as scientific fact.
In 2007, the most comprehensive report to date on global warming, issued by the respected United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, made a shocking claim: The Himalayan glaciers could melt away as soon as 2035… [T]he claim was rubbish, and the world's top glaciologists knew it. It was based not on rigorously peer-reviewed science but on an anecdotal report by the WWF itself.—Margaret Wente (source)
Lord Christopher Monckton, Chief policy advisor to the Science and Public Policy Institute and former policy advisor to the British government for years has been attempting to have an open and honest debate regarding the claims of AGW alarmists. Thusly, a debate with Lord Monckton has been avoided by AGW chief spokespersons. It seems no one who supports the theory of AGW is happy to have that debate. (see 6:05min video)
Even though Lord Monckton has issued a request to ‘one and all’, instead of debating the issue Demagogues and Ideologues continue to advance this unproven theory is if they have not been exposed for the frauds that they are. (see 1:24min video)
Chief of these Ideologues is U.S. president Barry Hussein Soetoro who single handedly brokered a deal in Copenhagen that transfers the wealth of the West to non-Western societies in the name of AGW.
In the agreement, a commitment of $30 billion from industrialized countries over the period 2010 to 2012 was decided, as 'fast start funding' for adaptation, emissions reductions, research and capacity building in developing countries, including funding to prevent deforestation.
Mobilization of financing for the needs of developing countries beyond the year 2020 is also addressed in the agreement and is estimated at $100 billion per year from 2020. (source)
Though they couldn’t get the deal that they wanted because China wouldn’t agree to put cap and trade restrictions on their economy, therefore nations didn’t sign a binding agreement to impose U.N. sanctions and penalties on themselves if carbon emission exceeded a certain amount. The U.S. president still convinced industrial nations to start paying $30 billion dollars in tax payers money to U.N. coffers that supposedly will be used to offset AGW. US taxpayers will begin to start payments this year.
In the accord
• Agreement that “deep cuts in global emissions are required according to science” • A pledge of $30 billion from industrialized countries to poor nations over the period 2010 to 2012 to start in 2010 • A further pledge of an estimated $100 billion per year from industrialized countries to poor nations starting after from 2020 • “Long co-operative action” needed to keep the global temperature increase below 2C • Rich countries should submit proposals for economy-wide emission reduction targets for 2020 to the UN by January 31 • By the same date, developing countries should produce plans to cut the rate of growth of their emissions • There should be international monitoring of any emission cuts in developing countries that are funded by rich countries • A reassessment of the accord by 2015 to check whether emission reductions are on track to keep the temperature increase below 2C • Consideration in 2015 of strengthening the goal to 1.5C (source)
So the question goes begging, if “scientific proof” of AGW is proving to be an international sham to exhort money from the people of the world then why in the world did president Soetoro commit US tax dollars to a unproven cause at best and at worst a complete fraud and sham?
“The global warming movement proposed a complex set of international agreements involving vast transfers of funds, intrusive regulations in national economies, and substantial changes to the domestic political economies of most countries on the planet.”—Walter Russell Mead
The answer, because he is an Ideologue. And Ideologues will follow the “consensus” of their ideology whether it is right or wrong. That is what an Ideologue does. The Ideology which drives AGW is the same that drives Barry Hussein Soetoro; transferring wealth from the rich to the poor, in this case rich industrial nations to poor non-industrial nations.
After all of the current revelations showing that the theory of AGW is based on scientific corruption and greed and assuming that president Soetoro knew this but stood before Congress, the Supreme Court and the World in his first State of the Union Address in spite of evidence contrary to his opinion and declared that there is overwhelming scientific evidence that AGW is real, which he did, that act would make him an unapologetic Ideologue.
His demagoguery was blatant and so evident that he drew laughs from the Congress, Nancy Pelosi laughed, Joe Biden laughed and finally president Soetoro had to laugh himself at such a ridicules claim. Further proof that he is an Ideologue.
Given that he is an Ideologue then he will continue to defend this claim knowing that it is unbelievable and knowing that it is wrong. That is what Ideologues do! (see 14sec. video)
Note to Whitehouse spokesperson Robert Gibbs (another Ideologue); climate change as forwarded by a so-called consensus in the scientific community states that temperatures would rise to elevated levels off of the charts. Originally they did not promote any theory of Global cooling. (see 1:25min video)
Looks as though the "state-of-the-union" numbers bounce has all but evaporated.
I had previously commented on the sickly state of the speech that President Obama gave. Saying it was nothing more than a re-hash of a dozen other speeches, bit by bit. I was quite surprised to see such a bounce in his numbers in the days immediately following the speech, and even more shocked that it carried through to this past week.
But NOW, it looks as though the bloom is once again off the rose, so to speak. His numbers are really tanking now.
Of course, it might not have anything to do with the fact that his past is coming back to haunt him, in the name of Sarah Palin. She was absolutely stunning as the keynote speaker at the "Tea Party Convention"............. a grim reminder of what he is up against once more. The BIG difference is that in the past year, Ms Palin has become very astute and tuned into the issues of the time, and it is now much more difficult for the lame-stream media to paint her as some kind of out-of-touch hick!
Actually.........side by side comparison of Sarah Palin and President Obama, shows that there is no contest at all. She whips his butt, hands down! She has more common sense, more principle, and certainly more tact in not only her manner, but her ideas and her ability. She has actually run things for years, while he was "making nice" to build a political future, as a politician. I will admit that he has accomplished his goal very nicely. He managed to con an entire country, and is now in the process of dismantling not only the United States control of the internet, but our very Constitution. He would dismantle a health care system that is the envy of the world, a security and stock market system that has built this country into the most viable investment machine ever known.
No one will question that we have our faults, but by and large this country has no equal on this earth. Letting this faux president stay at the helm is the biggest mistake in the history of mankind. What we need is competent leaders.........not former organizers, backed up and advised by even less qualified morons.
It is very ironic that the far left demonized former President Bush; accused him of awarding no-bid contracts for our defense, of having lobbyists in his cabinet, of bringing us into Iraq on false pretenses, and accused him of war crimes. Now, the shoe is on the other foot, and THIS so-called president is awarding no-bid contracts to his cronies, has more lobbyists than Bush had, expanded the war in Afghanistan, and is certainly setting himself up to be accused of war crimes. So, what goes around comes around.
My biggest dispute with President Obama is his constant reference to the "inherited deficits" that seem to be the focal point of ALL his speeches. I guess that was a phrase that they just couldnt delete from the teleprompter. Damn these computers!
It is true that when Obama took office, he inherited a 1.6 trillion deficit. So where did the rest come from? Oh yes...... the "Stimulus Plan" that was no stimulus at all. It was a big payoff to the unions, and his home state, and all the earmarks that went to the democratic senators states..... for their support. Then, they have the unmitigated gall to try to stuff that "health care reform" down our throats, even though it was clear that nobody wanted it. Actually, I guess Sarah Palin has the far left democrats to thank for her popularity. She was one of the most influential people to speak out against it, initiating a response that has only just begun, and will culminate in 2012.
My warning to ALL the liberal politicians in the Senate and the House. BE AFRAID ................be very afraid. We are coming for you, starting THIS NOVEMBER........and won't be dissuaded from our mission, to figuratively "tar & feather" you. If it were up to me, I would literally have most of you tarred and feathered and run out of town on a rail, as many of our forefathers did prior to the American Revolution.
So Mr President. Enjoy your "good" poll numbers now, because they are going to sink like a rock!
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Mike Mullen
"Whatever we once were, we're no longer a Christian nation.”—Barry Hussein Soetoro
As the Military begins to move from “Don’t ask, don’t tell” to take your Christian White Anglo-Saxon American values and go to hell. One thing that becomes quite apparent, and that is president Soetoro is right; we are no longer a Christian nation. (see 17sec. video)
President Soetoro has pressed the reset button on a classic cultural war in America. Sensing that his domestic policies are in serious jeopardy Soetoro fell back to a stock Liberal ideology which is meant to stir up his base—homosexuality.
It is absolutely fascinating to see the big lumbering politically correct imps dance around this political fire all adorned with four stars atop their shoulders. Complete with higher echelons of the Armed Services, Secretary of Defense Bob Gates in tow they are ready to serve up the head of John the Baptist to Obama of the 40 veils. And as they do the very pillars of Western culture are being devastated like the earthquake ravaged Island of Haiti.
Soetoro has initiated this culture war to take the pressure off of his failed economic policies and to redirect attention to something else. He wants attention on anything else rather than his Health Care reform, his failed Stimulus (number 1), no jobs creation, high unemployment numbers, a stimulus number 2 called jobs creation and decisions which he has made that have compromised our national security; i.e. closing Gitmo and moving the terrorist trial to New York City.
President Soetoro’s Utopian dream of a government of hope and change is rapidly becoming a government of disaster and failure. So he’s pushed the reset button to something more titillatingly distracting; how to recreate the pup tent scene over and over again in the U.S. Military.
The strategy here is quite simple, create a diversion and have Americans all riled up concerning a social issue that Soetoro feels that he can win on. Why do Liberals believe that they can win on homosexuality?
Two top Pentagon officials told Congress on Tuesday that they are moving ahead with plans to dismantle the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy against homosexuals serving openly in the armed forces — drawing a sharp rebuke from Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), who accused Defense Secretary Robert Gates of trying to usurp Congress’s authority over the military.
“The question before us is not whether the military prepares to make this change, but how we best prepare for it,” Gates said in his opening statement to the Senate Armed Services Committee session. “We’ve received our orders from the commander in chief and are moving out accordingly.” – JEN DIMASCIO & JOSH GERSTEIN (source)
Because they have change the language and framed the argument in such an Orwellian way that if one opposes homosexuality one loses the argument just by stating your opposition. For instance take the example of Gen. Peter Pace former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff who lost his job for making a self evident statement regarding homosexuality in the military. The Chairman stated that homosexuality is immoral. (see 1:24min video)
Notice how biased the Liberal Media Elite is treating the story (see 1:43min video)
Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!—Isaiah 5:20
The point is, because homosexual advocates and the Liberal Media Elite have successfully dismissed Judeo-Christian values in our culture by calling immorality morality and morality immorality, Americans have become hopelessly confused on the issue of morality and immorality in recent years. Homosexual advocates did this to normalize the aberrant behavior of homosexuality and put it on par with heterosexuality.
In like fashion, the advocates of illegal aliens use these same tactics of confusing the language in promoting rights under our Constitution for citizens of the country of Mexico. Rightful these invaders of our country are called illegal aliens. However ironically the provocateurs of Orwellian speak force us to contradictorily call these immigration law breakers, of all things, “immigrants”. Orwellian Worldview in practice!
It is because of this confusion in language made by homosexual advocacy and the Liberal Media elite that Gen. Pace had to apology for telling the truth and apologetically walk back a true and accurate statement he made while defending President Clinton’s Don’t ask, don’t tell policy.
Contrarily due to these same advocates and media people current Chairman Admiral Mike Mullen can misstate the case against “Don’t ask and don’t tell” and get away with it because he is promoting their cause.
"It is my personal belief that allowing gays and lesbians to serve openly would be the right thing to do. No matter how I look at this issue I cannot escape being troubled by the fact that we have in place a policy that forces men and women to lie about who they are in order to defend their fellow citizens."—Adm. Mike Mullen
The hypocrisy is astounding Gen. Peter Pace was rebuked for voicing his personal belief and lost his job. Adm. Mike Mullen is lauded as a hero for voicing his personal belief in support of homosexuality.
Not only that, Adm. Mullen misstated the case. The policy is not asking for homosexuals to lie about their depravity. The policy is— what it is, an agreement to overlook certain personal foibles within the ranks with a wink, wink. In other words we won’t ask and you don’t tell.
And of course we all understood that there are homosexuals serving in the military. But the larger issue is not about any of this. The larger issue is what we all should be concerned about.
What the larger issue is, is that this is but one more step to force the homosexual agenda into the main stream of the Western society. This is about legitimizing homosexually and giving this aberrant behavior the same status as heterosexuality. That is the reason president Soetoro ignited this political firestorm, and that is the reason that this sudden switch in the government’s opinion on “Don’t ask, don’t tell” is so important.
The bottom line is the acts which the president, the Secretary of Defense and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff are taking to change this policy are wrong. Homosexuality is wrong. Those actions will put America on parallel with such infamous biblical societies as Sodom and Gomorrah.
And in the immediate future changing this policy will obscure the ability of our children to tell right from wrong if the government condones wrong by making it legitimate. Why that's apparently already the case if grown men; Adm. Mullen and the president do not know right from wrong!
I’m sure the inhabitants of the societies of Sodom and Gomorrah saw nothing wrong with their practices. Not only that, they didn’t have big 42” flat screen TV’s, cable with 1000 channels and the internet.
God really should apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah when America goes Brokeback Military.
During the presidential campaign Obama's aides modestly conferred on him the nickname "Black Jesus," according to John Heilemann and Mark Halperin's new book Game Change. If Obama objected to the moniker, he didn't say so.— Peter Wehner
“Many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am He!’ and will mislead many.”—Mark 13:6
Peter Wehner, columnist of Politics Daily has some interest insights in his article, “The Weight Around the Democrats' Ankles: Barack Obama.” According to Wehner Barry Hussein Soetoro who was originally considered God’s gift to Democrat politics is but a mill stone around Democrats’ necks for the 2010 elections.
Democrats are in such mortal fear of what being associated with Soetoro and his agenda might do to their election chances that they are virtually running away from the president who took time in his state of the union address to call the Democrats back from hiding in the hills. (see story) (see 36sec. video)
Before I get into Mr. Wehner’s article first allow me to prognosticate for the upcoming political 2010 elections. Starting now you are going to hear increasingly from top Democrats how Republicans are the problem, that Republicans are obstructionist and how they have been blocking the president’s agenda for purely political reasons.
Please take note that this is the latest in Democrat strategy. It’s the same old worn-out finger pointing and blame that Democrats have used for the last eight years. And it worked well.
So since they don’t have Bush to blame readily at hand any Republicans will do. Especially if a Democrat feels that this tactic will help him or her get elected or keep an incumbent’s seat. Remember where you hear it first! Now back to Wehner’s article.
It doesn’t take much political acumen to understand that in 2006 Democrats planned to win the majority in Congress by using the unpopularity of the Republican President to win seats in Congress. They used it and it worked beautifully.
In 2008 their plans were to increase their majority to a super majority so that Republicans would be relegated to the political sidelines therefore Democrats would control both the Executive and the Legislative Branches of government. All of this came true in 2008.
So with a Super Majority in the House, a filibuster proof Senate and the most radical far Left Liberal (with a Jesus complex) ever to be elected as president of the United States of America, Democrats set out to change water into wine, or United States into France (Or some sort of Liberal European Socialist country).
Under the leadership of President Soetoro and a Democrat controlled Congress the following agenda was set; Signing a bill to close Guantanamo Bay within a year (it’s still open past time), spending $787Billion dollars to create 3 million jobs and stimulate the economy to keep unemployment under 7% (however Obama said in the SOTU address, instead we’ve lost seven million jobs in the last two years.
And might I mention that unemployment is up over 10%), a massive multi-Billion dollar bank bailout, the government takeover of the auto industry (the most radical government takeover of business in the history of America), health care legislation (the most radical government proposed takeover of the medical industry in the history of America) and negotiations to be broadcast on C-SPAN (Not!), the trial of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, 9/11 mastermind set for New York City, a cap-and-trade proposal (which are a new set of taxes on carbon emissions), and now repealing President Clinton’s ‘Don’t ask, don’t tell’ policy for the armed services.
Whomever the American people thought they elected when they elected Barry Hussein Soetoro it has became clear to the Moderates and Independents among us that Soetoro’s agenda is not an American agenda it was an agenda that was even to the far left of them! And no amount of speechifying is changing that.
[President Obama] pursued a hyper-partisan agenda and shattered promise after promise. According to the latest Congressional Budget Office (CBO) estimates, unemployment will remain at around 10 percent this year, which will be like a millstone around the neck of Democrats. ObamaCare has proven to be not only unpopular but politically toxic.
The president's new budget -- which projects a record-breaking, mind-blowing deficit of $1.56 trillion -- is political kryptonite for Democrats; it reinforces the worst possible narrative about them (profligate, fiscally reckless, unprepared to govern).— Peter Wehner
President Soetoro is the most polarizing president since Harry S Truman. Not because Soetoro is Black. The opposition against Soetoro is because of his policies. The public has taken note of Soetoro’s broken promises, his exorbitant spending, and his questionable political and social policies. And Democrats, Moderates and Independent alike reject Soetoro based on those things.
[T]he degree of polarization we have seen during the Obama presidency is unprecedented. Barack Obama is the most polarizing first year president since the 1950s, when Gallup first began polling on this issue.— Peter Wehner
President Soetoro is an ideologue . He has proven to the American people that he puts his agenda above everything else. Democrats running for office in 2010 see this as detrimental to their chances of winning so Democrats are avoiding being associated with Soetoro and his policies.
Since Massachusetts Democrats’ faith seem to be shaken in the “Black Jesus” of Chicago Illinois or of Kenya, or of Hawaii (or wherever he's from) so they look to the hills from whence comes their help, because politically speaking, lately it’s much better to be hidden in the hills than to be seen with Barry “Black Jesus” Soetoro.
I’ll make our government open and transparent so that anyone can ensure that our business is the people’s business. As Justice Louis Brandeis once said, sunlight is the greatest disinfectant.
As President, I will make it impossible for Congressmen or lobbyists to slip pork-barrel projects or corporate welfare into laws when no one is looking because when I am president, meetings where laws are written will be more open to the public. No more secrecy.-- Senator Barry Hussein Soetoro, The Change We Need in Washington, Monday September 22nd, 2008 Green Bay, Wisconsin (source)
Last Wednesday night in his State of the Union address president Barry Hussein Soetoro noted a deficit of trust that has developed between him, his Party and the American people. Which is an extraordinary occurrence because he, in his campaign, promised to deliver us from all evil, as it were, he was going to change the way things are done in Washington. He was the Light sent among us that we all might see the error of all political ways prior to himself.
The bright disinfection of Sunlight, a promise of Senator Soetoro’s, is the change that we were promised. Openness and transparency are the reasons why he was elected, they are the reasons he came, so where are they?
Even as you read this, deep down in the dank darken caverns of the Congressional basement clandestine meetings are still being held. Meetings that are obscured from the prying lens of C-SPAN, meetings that are being held in direct contradiction of what Barry Soetoro promised.
According to Noam N. Levey’s article, “Democrats quietly working to resuscitate healthcare overhaul,” Democrats are meeting almost daily to plot legislative moves while gently persuading skittish rank-and-file lawmakers to back a sweeping bill,” reports Levey. (see story)
Levey wrote, “[t]his effort is deliberately being undertaken quietly as Democrats work to focus attention on more-popular initiatives to bring down unemployment.” In other words while the country is being distracted with the talk of creating jobs Democrats are creating the conditions to surreptitiously put their unpopular health care reform in place. Like president Soetoro boasted in the SOTU address he doesn’t quit and apparently neither do members of this Party. (That’s something for you Republicans to remember!)
Many have concluded that the only hope for resuscitating the healthcare legislation is to push the issue off the front page and give lawmakers time to work out a new compromise and shift public perception of the bill.
"A little bit of time and quiet could help," said Arkansas Sen. Mark Pryor, a conservative Democrat who was among a group of centrist Democrats from the House and Senate who met last week to discuss a way forward on healthcare.
The president all throughout his campaign promised repeatedly that all health care negotiations would be public open and broadcasted on C-SPAN. (see 2:24min video)
However, in his State of the Union address he wouldn’t even broach the subject of C-SPAN and Health Care because he failed to keep that promise. Right Congressman Joe Wilson—Right!
However before his SOTU address Republicans wrote the president a letter remaining him of his promises for openness and transparency regarding the health care negotiations so it must have been on this mind. (see letter)
Still he didn’t mention C-SPAN or his promises for openness and transparency regarding health care so it’s no wonder that Democrats, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid are still hard at work behind closed doors secretly meshing the two bills, the House and the Senate versions together to present to the president for his signature.
In all honor and decency the president should not sign a bill that has not meant the sunlight test—his test! Maybe he should give himself an IPod to watch his SOTU address over again.
[W]e have to recognize that we face more than a deficit of dollars right now. We face a deficit of trust -– deep and corrosive doubts about how Washington works that have been growing for years. To close that credibility gap we have to take action on both ends of Pennsylvania Avenue -- to end the outsized influence of lobbyists; to do our work openly; to give our people the government they deserve.
That's what I came to Washington to do.—president Barry Hussein Soetoro, SOTU address January 27, 2010
Yep, a deficit of trust, I’ve got to admit Mr. president you and your Party brought this on yourselves. You guys have been lying and deceiving for years. For instance, Democrats like to crow real loose and breezily that Bill Clinton left a surplus of over $200 billion dollars and after Bush left office there was a deficit of over $1 trillion dollars.
The fact is Clinton cut the military to the bare bones which left America almost defenseless and when terrorists attacked America Clinton wouldn’t even respond to protect American interests.
In less than a three-year period under Clinton , America 's military manpower decreased from 2.1 million to 1.6 million. Of the 305,000 employees removed from the federal payroll by Clinton , some 286,000 (or 90 percent) were military cuts. Over the entire course of the Clinton years, the Army was cut from 18 divisions to 12. The Navy was reduced from 546 ships to 380. Air Force flight squadrons were cut from 76 to 50. Moreover, the Administration enacted a pay freeze on U.S. troops, 80 percent of whom earned $30,000 or less annually.
The $200 Billion Dollar surplus that Democrats and president Soetoro so breezily refer to was accomplished on the backs of our brave military men and women and their families. Not to mention that the so-called surplus was compiled at the expense of national security because the Clinton administration failed to respond to numerous acts of war against the United States of America.
On February 26, 1993, the al Qaeda organization (which ultimately would carry out the September 11, 2001 attacks on New York 's Twin Towers and the Pentagon) struck the World Trade Center for the first time. The terrorists' truck bomb made a crater six stories deep, killed six people and injured more than a thousand.
It was the first major terrorist act ever to take place on U.S. soil. The planners' intent had been to cause one tower to fall and topple the other, killing tens of thousands of people in the process. An Act of war— Under the Clinton administration six Palestinian and Egyptian conspirators responsible for the attack were tried in civil courts and were given life sentences like common criminals, but its mastermind escaped. He was identified as Ramzi Ahmed Yousef, an Iraqi Intelligence agent. (one reason George W. Bush would eventually go to war with Iraq )
Al Qaeda forces first engaged U.S. troops as early as 1993 when the Clinton Administration deployed military forces on a mission to Somalia . In Mogadishu , 18 Americans were ambushed and killed, and 80 more were wounded. One dead U.S. soldier was dragged through the streets in an act calculated to humiliate his comrades and his country. An act of war—Under Clinton 's leadership, America made no military response to the unprovoked carnage.
In February 1996, according to American Muslim businessman and Clinton supporter Mansoor Ijaz, "the Sudanese offered to arrest bin Laden and extradite him to Saudi Arabia or, barring that, to 'baby-sit' him—monitoring all his activities and associates." But the Saudis did not want him. Instead, Mansoor said, in May 1996 "the Sudanese capitulated to U.S. pressure and asked bin Laden to leave, despite their feeling that he could be monitored better in Sudan than elsewhere. Bin Laden left for Afghanistan , taking with him Ayman Awahiri, considered by the U.S. to be the chief planner of the September 11 attacks…." (and John Kerry and Barry Soetoro like to talk about Tora Bora)
According to a London Sunday Times account, based on a Clinton Administration source, on three occasions the Clinton Administration had the opportunity to seize bin Laden and failed to do so. Responsibility for those decisions to turn down bin Laden, said the Times, "went to the very top of the White House." Clinton 's failure to grasp the opportunity, says Ijaz, "represents one of the most serious foreign policy failures in American history." (makes Tora Bora insignificant doesn’t it)
On June 25, 1996, a 5,000-pound truck-bomb was detonated adjacent to the Saudi Arabian Khobar Towers housing complex, which was being used as a U.S. military barracks. Nineteen American soldiers died in the blast. An act of war—President Clinton vowed: "The cowards who committed this murderous act must not go unpunished. Let me say again: We will pursue this. America takes care of our own." There was no follow up. Nothing was done.
In August 1998, al Qaeda terrorists blew up the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania , killing 245 people and injuring 5,000. An act of war—President Clinton launched cruise missiles into two Islamic countries, which he identified as being allied to the terrorists and their leader Osama bin Laden. One of these missiles hit and destroyed a pharmaceutical factory in the Sudan.
On October 12, 2000, the warship USS Cole was bombed by Islamic terrorists while re-fueling in Yemen . Seventeen U.S. sailors were killed and 39 injured. Bombing a military vessel is clear act of war. The Clinton administration did not respond as such.
Clinton virtually left National Security a mess. Oh he saved a lot of money, $200 Billion according to Barry Soetoro, but at what cost to our national security? Experts state that it was Clinton’s repeated non-responses that lead to 9/11 the worst act of terrorism on U.S. soil.
So how much did 9/11 cost; well if all the cleanup cost, the Homeland Security cost and the cost of the wars are added up I’d say Bill Clinton actually cost the United States of America over a Trillion Dollars not a surplus of $200 Billion which he is falsely credited with leaving.
The security concerns were so huge that the Bush administration had to clean up by spending to increase military personnel and equipment, spending to increase military pay, spending to protect Americans against the real threats of terrorism and spending to wage war against those in Iraq and Afghanistan who were responsible for the unprovoked attacks against America that the Clinton administration did not answer.
These tremendous costs were left over for the Bush administration. And not one time—not one, did Bush finger point at the previous administration or talk about what was there when he first walked through the door like president Soetoro and Democrats do at every opportunity they get.
Every time president Soetoro and Democrats talk about a $200 billion surplus that Clinton left opposed to Bush leaving an almost $1Trillion Dollar deficit, the facts about Clinton’s negligence regarding National Security should be marshaled in defense of a president that did actually attempt to defend America unlike his predecessor Bill Clinton. That trillion dollar deficit is Bill Clinton’s!
During its eight years, the Clinton Administration hamstrung the government's intelligence services in the name of civil liberties; shrunk the U.S. military in the name of economy; and prevented the Pentagon from adopting (and funding) a "two-war" strategy, because "the Cold War was over" and, in the White House's judgment, there was no requisite military threat in the post-Communist world that might make it necessary for the United States to be able to fight wars on two fronts. (source)
Underlying the Clinton security failure was the fact that the Administration was made up of people who for 25 years had discounted or minimized foreign totalitarian threats, opposed America 's armed presence abroad, and consistently resisted the deployment of America 's military forces to halt Communist expansion.
National Security Advisor Sandy Berger was himself a veteran of the Sixties "anti-war" movement, which abetted the Communist victories in Vietnam and Cambodia and created the "Vietnam War syndrome" that made it so difficult afterwards for American presidents to deploy the nation's military forces.-- Jim Hoagland Washington Post
I’d say there is a very good reason that there is a deficit of trust between president Barry Hussein Soetoro, his Democrat Party and the American people.
Americans have heard all of the promises, have heard all of the excuses and have seen all of the finger pointing and we get it. It all adds up and that means we don’t trust you, Mr. president, Ms. Pelosi and Mr. Reid! We don’t trust your hope and your change.
We don’t trust your Global warming rhetoric, nor do we trust your $787Billion dollars supposed job creating stimulus package, nor we don’t trust your second stimulus package disguised as a jobs initiative and we don’t trust your secret health care reform.
You want to earn our trust? Less Obama-talk and more Sunlight, it’s the only way!
President Obama and Republican leadership Minority Leader John Boehner and Minority Whip Eric Cantor
And the notion that I would somehow resist doing something that cost half as much but would produce twice as many jobs -- why would I resist that? I wouldn't.
I mean, that's my point, is that -- I am not an ideologue. I'm not. It doesn't make sense if somebody could tell me, "You could do this cheaper and get increased results," that I wouldn't say, "Great."—president Barry Hussein Soetoro
President Barry Hussein Soetoro went to the House Republican retreat in Baltimore Maryland days after his State of the Union Address to, in essence, deliver the message in no uncertain terms that he expects Republicans to help him push his agenda of changing America from the Constitutionally based Democratic Republic that it presently is, to that of a more European Socialist model.
That, plus the message of; Oh and by the way stop calling me an Ideologue or I won’t let you participate in my government at all. (see transcript)
No, look, I mean, I'm just saying -- I know you guys disagree, but if you look at the facts of this bill, most independent observers would say this is actually what many Republicans -- it -- it's similar to what many Republicans proposed to Bill Clinton when he was doing his debate on health care.
So all I'm saying is we've got to close the gap a little bit between the rhetoric and the reality.
I'm not suggesting that we're going to agree on everything, whether it's on health care or energy or what have you, but if the way these issues are being presented by the Republicans is that this is some wild-eyed plot to impose huge government in every aspect of our lives, what happens is you guys then don't have a lot of room to negotiate with me.—president Barry Hussein Soetoro
In the minds of Soetoro sycophants, media and otherwise, this was an attempt by Soetoro to improve relations between he and Republicans. And they believe that this is the president’s attempt to promote true bipartisanship. Wrong!
For all of us who are on the correct side of the looking glass this is—what it is. Democrats failed to move their agenda with supermajorities in the Congress due to Democrats being obstructed by fellow Democrats. That compounded by the Massachusetts reality check which Moderates and Independents pushed back against the Soetoro socialist movement.
Meaning that it is not only Republicans who see ominous signs with the direction which the president and his Party are taking this country, but all independently fair minded Americans see trouble ahead if Democrats persist on this course.
So faced with the prospect of losing all objective support in the electorate what does an Ideologue do? He goes to the opposing Party and attempts to further compromise them.
This Republican Party, mind you, is the one that Democrats have deconstructed since 2000 by destroying and undermining Republican leadership with the politics of personal destruction, Tom Delay, Dennis Hastert and Bill Frist just to name a few were Republican leaders sabotaged by Democrat tactics. This is a Party that has been completely rudderless since the exit of Newt Gingrich.
So Mr. Soetoro goes to the House Republican retreat needing the cover of Republicans so that he, Democrats and their Media sycophants can echo the word bipartisan, bipartisan, bipartisan… as a shield against any criticism of the straight socialist agenda that they are laying out in both the health care agenda and the economy.
It’s already a known quantity that Soetoro doesn’t want Republican ideas. He’s already said that they’ve already been tried and they didn’t work. He’s not interested in, as he says (which is a classic Soetoro mis-characterization), ideas that got us into this mess in the first place.
However, Mr. president, I do remember Democrat idea’s of fair housing, which caused Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac via Democrats Barney Frank and Christopher Dodd, to have a little something to do with the mess that got us into the situation in the first place.
Soetoro is only interest in getting Republicans to sign off on what he wants to do. Thereby giving he and Democrats the ability to say, “…by both Republicans and Democrats.” That is the only thing that this president wants from Republicans.
He doesn’t want to work with Republicans in an equal bipartisan fashion that Democrats demanded of George Bush. He only wants Political cover like the kind that Republicans in name only Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe provides.
Do I have to remind you that had it not been for Olympia Snowe’s help in moving Health Care out of Senate conference we would not be sitting on the brink of health care disaster right now if Democrats “jump or parachute” this bill onto Soetoro’s desk as promised to be delivered by Nancy Pelosi.
Unfortunately even Massachusetts Senator-elect Scott Brown said that he would be willing to provide such cover from time to time as the occasion presents itself, he would vote with Democrats.
It is totally mind-boggling that Barry Hussein Soetoro who ran his campaign as a Saul Alinsky-Chicago style political community organizer and now governs like an anti-Bush Daily Kos left-wing radical can say straight faced in a room full of Republicans…” I am not an ideologue. I'm not.”
Oops, hour’s up! Everyone can return to reality now!
Follow is the Ideologue-in-Chief’s address to the Republicans as broadcast on C-span per his request (uhm imagine that!). And then following is his question and answer session which he basically blames the out of power Republicans (who don’t have numbers to stop any of his agenda) for his failure to get a super-majority of Democrats to pass his agenda. Plus, of course, some Bush bashing and finger pointing thrown in for good measure.
OBAMA SPEAKS AT HOUSE REPUBLICAN RETREAT IN BALTIMORE, Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel, Jan. 29, 2010 (see 20:29min video)
It doesn't take a rocket scientist or a pollster to know that Americans are not happy with Washington.
The honeymoon that greeted President Obama a year ago today has degenerated into hypercriticism, deep anxiety and downright anger.—Frank Luntz
President Bill Clinton used to feel our pain, president Barry Hussein Soetoro said in his first State of the Union Address that he feels our anger… and he should!
People are just now realizing what it means to have a 1960’s ideologue of the burn baby burn genre to actually be in power as president of the United States of America.
In the 60’s these ideologues threaten to burn everything down in American with the idea of starting all over again. Those radicals are hiding in plain sight in professorships in colleges all across America exposing our children and our children’s teachers to their anti-American screed. Of course that message as been repackaged for this present era to the more obscured message of hope and change but it’s all the same thing.
Now that Soetoro a former college lecturer and an Affirmative Action Baby, is in power he doesn’t have to light an actual match under the country or bomb the country like his friend William Ayers. Instead Soetoro can sign Executive Orders, unconstitutionally appoint Czars and nominate Supreme Court Justices who have his same 60’s ideology.
He can even work with a Super Partisan Left-wing lead Congress to set the roof, the roof, the roof (that the founding fathers built) on fire. Executive presidential powers in the hands of a 60’s radical are just as destructive as lighting a match or exploding a bomb… and highly more effective too.
In other words we’ve heard the supercilious and quixotic messages of hope and change but in reality one year of Barry Hussein Soetoro it is more like the unimaginable down in the earth suffering of debt and chains.
Astonishing and usurious crushing debt that will chain our children and our children’s children to paying for the mistakes of Barry Hussein Soetoro long after he completes his one term presidency and long after it is disclosed that he wasn’t even constitutionally eligible to serve as president in the first place.
According to Frank Luntz Americans are suffering an extreme case of buyer’s remorse. Luntz gives examples of the polls below:
• Only 39 percent of the country would vote to re-elect Obama, according to a National Journal poll, while 50 percent would "definitely" or "probably" vote for someone else. This is significant. George W. Bush is the only candidate in modern times to win re-election with less than half of the country expressing a desire to re-elect him.
• According to Gallup, Obama has suffered the greatest fall in approval of any elected president since the company started ongoing tracking during the Eisenhower administration. Obama came into office with the approval of two out of every three voters (67 percent) but ended his first year with just half the electorate (50 percent) offering a positive evaluation of his performance. Only the unelected Gerald Ford fared worse in the court of public opinion.
• It's not just the Obama agenda that is under attack. It is his philosophy that has America balking. For example, Americans are increasingly returning to the conservative ideology they held before the perceived failures of the Bush administration crushed conservative self-identification levels. According to Gallup, fully 40 percent of Americans now identify themselves as conservative, compared with just 21 percent who call themselves liberal.
• And finally, while the Republican brand has barely moved since its electoral disasters of 2006 and 2008 and remains unpopular, Democratic popularity has collapsed as well. Most surveys now have the GOP even or even slightly ahead in the generic congressional ballot, and Americans now see the Republicans to be as good if not better in handling the economy.(see source)
In Jill Dorson’s, Why I regret voting for President Obama, is an Independent’s anecdotal but highly relative explanation of why the Democrats are losing the Independent vote. (see article)
I am a registered Independent. I voted for Barack Obama. And for that, I am sorry.
I'm not sorry for you. I'm sorry for me. Because I voted for Obama for me, not for you. I voted for hope and change and all the intangibles that Obama was peddling in the wake of the financial crisis, Sarah Palin, Sept. 11 and all the other ills that shook our country in the last decade. I wanted something new. Something different. What I got was, I suppose, exactly what I voted for - a spin doctor. And not a very good one at that.—Jill Dorson
According to Dorson she brought the hope and change hype only to realize that the Obama policies were destructive to her small business and the standard of living that she was accustomed to.
Dorson said that she thought that, “Obama would try to level the playing field between big business and small, between thieves and honest business people, between greed and moderation. Instead, he bailed out the most wicked and left the rest of us fail.”
Seven years later, I am ashamed to say that I was blinded by charisma. Obama was so convincing that I stopped caring about what he knew and started getting caught up in the euphoria. Imagine having a president who came from a broken home, who had money troubles, who did grass-roots community service? A young father. The first black president. It pains me to admit I got caught up in the hoopla.—Jill Dorson
Dorson came to the sad conclusion that words mean entirely something different to president Soetoro than they mean to the rest of us she said, “It was clear after just 90 days what a mistake I'd made. My taxes have gone up and my quality of life has gone down. Hope has given way to disgust and I see now that change is simply a euphemism for ‘big government.’”
I believe that America has realized that we’ve made a horrible mistake in electing Barry Hussein Soetoro as the president. The interesting thing is that we didn’t come to that conclusion by anything that Republicans or any of Soetoro’s opposition has done. No we came to that conclusion solely based on what Soetoro and Democrats have done.
Democrats came to power by tearing down America. Oh I’m totally aware that Democrats thought that they were only tearing down George W. Bush but the reality is Democrats strategy to win the Congress and the White house was based on a blame Bush tactic that was created by Democrat strategist James Carville but what Democrats did was permanently damage the office of the presidency and the whole electoral process by infecting America’s election process with poisoned partisan politics of the worst kind.
It was these virulent winds of poisoned partisanship that Democrats have unleashed on America by their 2000, 2004, 2006 and 2008 attacks on George W. Bush. And it is these winds of which Barry Hussein Soetoro is reaping the whirlwind as he continually and constantly blames George W. Bush each and every time he speaks as he did in the State of the Union Address.
The blackness of the Democrat soul has corrupted American politics for years to come. Democrats declared war on America in order to win the presidency and in war as Democrats waged it all is fair, even the politics of personal destruction which they employed against anyone who was a Republican. That is why today the name Bush is a pejorative in Liberal Democrat circles.
Somehow Moderates, Independents and some Liberal Conservatives are slowly realizing that they made a grave mistake voting for Barry Hussein Soetoro base on their own observations of these things.
Are the rest of us now ready to admit that we’ve made a mistake voting for president Soetoro?
